How we set our pricing

Organising information, communicating, and delivering accurate metrics is key to running a buying group that delivers value to its members, partners and shareholders.

Up until now, the only way to manage this unique range of information, agreements, promotions, rebates and rebate earnings has either been with a cheap and clunky combination of mail-merging in Office and difficult to manage spreadsheets, or it's been a hideously expensive proprietary system.

eBiz, we believe, is an investment in your buying group and it's future. Because of this, we set our prices at a level that allows us to continually invest in building and improving a solid and reliable product that will continue to grow with your group.

But perhaps more importantly, we set our prices at a level that enable us to deliver a great experience for you as our customer.

Our billing policy

Most enterprise software pricing is designed to charge you per user or per company, regardless of how many people active users or companies you have

At eBiz, you only get billed for what you use, down to the minimum number of companies for your plan. So you don't pay for the companies that aren't using eBiz. And if someone you've already paid for becomes inactive, we'll even add a pro-rated credit to your account for the unused time. Fair's fair.

Frequently asked questions

Product

No!

We have many customers who are regular merchants. They may have purchasing agreements for product ranges or brands that are not covered by their group, or they may want to import their group data into their own intranet for better analysis and peace of mind. We also have merchants that are not part of a buying group.

Something like Google G Suite is priced at $5 per user per month. Salesforce is priced at $60 per user per month. Although these are not comparable products, we think they're currently the best product analogy out there. Our pricing is based on company, so if a company has 30 staff it costs the same as a company with 2 staff.

We want to encourage companies to add all their staff to the system, not be punished financially for doing so.

So when our charge is $10 per company per month, and a company has 30 staff, then our pricing compared to other products (such as G Suite and Salesforce), we think, is highly competitive.

In order to get a fluid system that is fully automated and relatively management free, we think that every vendor/supplier should be loaded on the sytem - so the average is around 100-350 companies.

Billing

With a buying group, some members of the group (especially larger ones) may need more users than smaller members. When billing is centralised and the group is invoiced, those costs are usually equally distributed down to the members. This means smaller members are effectively paying the same amount for their few users as the larger members with more users.

To combat this, we can optionally bill members directly, so they only pay for the users they have.

Direct billing incurs slightly higher costs as billing more companies and managing them creates higher overheads for us. With centralised billing, however, we only have to send one bill to one company (the group) on a quarterly basis.

For invoice-based billing, our invoice terms are strictly 30 days. However, we do send invoices out with 30 days notice, so you in effect have 60 days to pay from the date our invoices go out. We think that is plenty of notice to ensure you can pay ontime and avoid service distruption.

For credit-card billing, we notify you 30 days before payment is due, which can be made securely through the system at any time.

If you are late or do not make a payment, we simply downgrade your service to the free service until your account is up-to0-date, so even then you are never "cut-off" as with other services!

We never delete data, regardless of your plan. For instance, if you downgrade from the Standard to the Free plan, your calendar events will not be deleted, even though you will no longer be able to view them.

Should you upgrade to the Standard plan again at a later stage, you could access these events once again.

You can use your credit card to pay for any plan. If you sign up for Quarterly billing, and your quarterly bill is at least £5k, we can invoice you quarterly. Contact us to get setup with invoicing.
Our pricing page allows you to switch between British Pounds and US Dollars. However, if you are a company within the EU, you will be billed in £'s and charged VAT @ 20%. If you are a non-EU business, you will be billed in US Dollars.

Security & Technical

Our servers are located in Amazon's AWS data centers. eBiz uses three availability zones within AWS' eu-west-1 region, all located in Ireland. AWS has devoted an entire portion of their site to explaining their security measures, which you can find here: https://aws.amazon.com/compliance/
Everything stored within eBiz is private for your group or company. We are custodians of highly sensitive data; each customer owns its own data. We place strict controls over our employees' access to internal data and are committed to ensuring that your data is never seen by anyone who should not see it.
All data transfer is encrypted - whether users are at their computer or on their phone, absolutely nothing goes over the network without encryption. eBiz uses 256-bit AES, supports TLS 1.2 for all of your data storage, and uses the ECDHE_RSA Key Exchange Algorithm. We monitor the security community's output closely and work promptly to upgrade the service to respond to new vulnerabilities as they are discovered.
We use a combination of platforms to deliver the fastest and most secure experience. We use a combination of MySQL, ElasticSearch, MemcacheD, nginx, Lucee, Tomcat, Amazon S3, Amazon ElasticBeanstalk and Amazon CloudFront. We operate multiple servers for each platform, with elastic capabilities to scale to demand.

We do incremental backups at 5 minute intervals throughout each day, and store complete nightly backups for 30 days. Monthly backups are stored for 24 months.
